MARTINS The Pony League program is geared for all kids in Fairmont to continue to
learn and develop the fundamental skills of baseball. Teams will be made up
of the current 8th & 9th grade classes. While kids will be coached on the skills
for each position there is now an emphasis on the determination of the strength
of the individual for specific positions. The rules for Pony League baseball
follow closely with the MSHSL Rules. Batting order and substitution policies
are in force unless agreed on by both coaches prior to the game.
There will be a $110 registration fee for participating on the league teams. This fee
will cover the cost of the equipment that we use and the cost of our team shirts
and hats, which the kids will get to keep. If this fee presents a hardship for a family
there are scholarships available from the “Angels of Baseball” program. Contact
any Board member if you would like to be a part of this program. Any player picked
up off the reserve roster does not pay any fee. If you have comments or suggestions
