MARTINS The Minor League program is geared for all kids in Fairmont to learn and
develop the fundamental skills of baseball. Teams will be set up so that they
are equal in talent to each other. All kids will be coached on the skills
for each position, however, not all kids will get to play every position during
the games. The rules for Minor League baseball state that; all kids bat in the
batting order and must play at least two innings of defense for each game.
There will be a $70 registration fee for participating on
the league teams. This fee will cover the cost of the
equipment that we use and the cost of our team shirts
and hats, which the kids will get to keep. If this fee presents
a hardship for a family there are scholarships available from
the “Angels of Baseball” program. Contact any Board member
if you would like to be a part of this program. Any player
picked up off the reserve roster does not pay any fee. If you
